Lauren Francese
Lauren Francese has proven herself as an experienced leader and dedicated educator throughout her two decades within Connecticut public schools. She currently serves as the Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator for Westport Public Schools, and was recognized for her outstanding leadership in April with the 2025 Pamela Bellmore Gardner Social Studies Leadership Award. As a Project Associate she was instrumental in the development of Connecticut’s new social studies standards which center around six pillars: justice, representation, inclusivity, agency, global content, and local connections. Maria Madonick
Incumbent Board of Selectmen candidate, Maria Madonick, has been a Woodbridge resident since 2015 when she, along with her husband, Michael, and four children moved to their home here in town. Their children have attended Beecher Road School and Amity Middle School.
Steve Munno
Incumbent Board of Selectmen candidate Steve Munno serves as the Executive Director of Massaro Community Farm. Throughout Steve’s 16 years of leadership, the farm has contributed significantly to the community and environment by: cultivating certified organic produce; donating produce to health and human service agencies throughout Greater New Haven; offering on-farm educational programs for youth and adults; and recently becoming a Certified Wildlife Habitat and a Certified Firefly Habitat. In 2019, Steve was named Connecticut’s OutstandingYoung Farmer by the CT Agricultural Information Council, and this year was awarded the 2025 Norma O’ Leary Award for Excellence in Agricultural Innovation from CT Resource Conservation & Development, in recognition of his outstanding efforts in advancing climate smart practices.
Mica Cardozo
Mica and his wife Pat have been an integral part of our community for 31 years, and epitomize altruism. Both have served Woodbridge in many capacities: Pat, as a former member of the Amity Board of Education for twelve years, holding the positions of Vice Chair, and Chair of the Personnel and Facilities Committees and former member of the Library Commission; Mica, prior to becoming First Selectman, as Deputy First Selectman and as a member or liaison of the Fire, Police, Agriculture, Economic Development, and Recreation Commissions; all while raising two daughters who are products of the Woodbridge and Amity school systems…
